Recipient of Assessment Initiatives Award, 2018

To support the assessment of student learning and program effectiveness at ISU. Awarded $2000 to attend Oral Proficiency Interview training in Spanish.

Recipient of the ACTFL Global Engagement Initiative, 2015

To feature outstanding community-engaged learning experiences within the world languages curriculum at all levels of instruction.”  ISU language teacher candidates’ work teaching K-5th graders at Unity Community Center was one of 11 programs recognized from across the country in the initiative’s debut year. Recognition is for four years.
